About the opportunity

Group Reporting & Analysis, commonly known as GRA, is responsible for providing financial support, analysis and management information to the Board, the Global Operating Committee (GOC) and other senior members of FIL management.


A large part of the team’s activity is focused on:

  • Continuously striving to make our regular reporting as informative as possible.
  • Supplying valuable analysis to support debate and decision-making at GOC and other senior management meetings;
  • Co-ordinating FIL’s annual budget process.
  • Ownership of the management reporting hierarchy and global sales and assets reporting – including The FIL Daily Report.

In addition to these group-wide responsibilities, we provide local business finance support to the Chief Financial Officer, Chief Administrative Officer, General Counsel and Head of Shared Services as well as the Technology, Investment Management and Corporate Property Services functions. This support includes expense reporting, forecasting and recharging to internal customers together with a significant amount of ad hoc analysis.












Job Description


Need a highly motivated Individual, who will be managing critical reporting for FIL’s senior management , handling day to day data issues and acting upon various ad-hoc requests under tight timeframes. He/she would also be responsible for providing technical, systems and data support, working closely with India technology teams, business finance teams and regional sales teams across geographies.

He/she would have to ensure compliance to all agreed internal and external SLAs and requirements. Shall also be responsible for end to end support on projects, changes and system enhancements within the agreed timelines. To this end, the individual will perform a variety of tasks including coordinating with various technology teams and stakeholders, planning and setting out data requirements, summarizing and communicating progress and status.

This demanding role would perfectly suit a dynamic individual looking to work in a fast paced environment to ensure the smooth running of business critical reporting.



Key Responsibilities


  • Ensuring timely provision of key sales & assets information to senior management across FIL;
  • Reviewing and analysing the sales & assets data to ensure accurate internal & external reporting;
  • Liaise with stakeholders and counterparties to resolve exceptions in a timely and pro-active manner;
  • Managing fortnightly stakeholder calls, sharing functional updates and resolving issues raised;
  • Maintaining and developing new reports required by Business teams using Tableau;
  • Ensuring accurate recodes and adjustments are placed to the back-end, internal EDW system;
  • Creating, managing and maintaining databases for storage and easy retrieval of data;
  • The ability to use MS Excel/ MS Access and write macros in VB script for automating the processes, updating access databases and writing MS access, WebFocus, BI tool queries to load and retrieve data;
  • Providing ad hoc analysis, reports and presentations to the business under challenging time frames;
  • Participation in projects as required & performing periodic general administrative tasks.


Experience and Qualifications


Technical


  • Graduate or Post Graduate degree from a recognised university ;
  • 5 to 6 years’ experience in a similar position, preferably within a global and / or a financial services company;
  • Sound analytical skills with an eye for details and an appetite to dive into issues in depth as needed;
  • High numeracy and able to co-relate data/ information
  • Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office software packages; Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Access and power point with ability to write macros in VBA script.
  • Advance knowledge of Tableau or similar software
  • Knowledge of writing SQL queries would be an added advantage.
  • Understanding of Oracle and MS Access databases
  • Ability to work with large and complex data sets
  • Project and programme management skills
